PURPOSE Of the United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

CIRCLE MEETINGS
Blessing Circle 2nd Monday of each month Parlor 7:00 PM call for child care
Koinonia 3rd Wednesday of each month Parlor 9:00 AM call for child care
Stepping Stones 1st Tuesday of each month Parlor 7:00 PM call for child care
Susanna 3rd Wednesday of each month Parlor 1:00 PM call for child care
Wesleyan 3rd Wednesday of each month Parlor 6:15 PM child care provided
Unit Meetings are held on most 5th Tuesdays with a dinner provided for $5.00 by one of the
circles. The meal starts at 6:15 PM in the dining room. All women are invited to our unit
meetings and any woman is welcome to join a circle. Please come, new members are always
welcome.
October 17 we will be having a mission study. Watch for further information as it becomes
available.
Some mission projects the unit and different circles do:
Promote Free Trade Coffee to help the small coffee farmer earn enough to live.
Promote the non-use of Styrofoam and use mugs brought from home.
Visiting our Sarah Circle members at McCrite Plaza Retirement Community
Collecting items for health kits.
Raising money for the pastors at Christmas to help Countryside families in need.
Donating money for many service organizations in town, the state country and world through our
pledges.
Providing funeral dinners for those families who would like them.
