Preschool at Countryside

Countryside United Methodist Preschool, Inc. (CUMPS), is a dynamic and interactive weekday Christian learning environment designed to engage the minds and spirits of children ages 2 1/2 – 6. The CUMPS program is considered one of the best in northeastern Kansas and has consistently earned a 5-star rating on the Kansas Quality Rating System, the highest rating they award. We are licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and can accommodate up to 160 children in the various morning and afternoon programs. Morning sessions run from 8:45am – 11:20am, and afternoon sessions are from 12:30pm – 3:05pm. CUMPS is committed to accepting all children provided that space is available in the classes.

At the Countryside Preschool, the primary focus is on the safety, development, and welfare of the total child. The program strives to provide an environment which is conducive to physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual development.

Countryside United Methodist Church offers Child Care for our youngest disciples, children ages 2 weeks through 5 years old. These services are provided on Sundays and most week day evening activities. Care is provided by our trained and certified staff, who want to share God's love to the highest degree as they care for your children in a safe, warm, welcoming environment. If not already provided during your groups meeting time, please request child care coverage by submitting this form. About our classes

At Countryside Preschool, the primary focus is on the safety, development, and welfare of the total child. Our program strives to provide an environment which is conducive to physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual development. The play-time at CUMPS is guided to stimulate interest and curiosity in God’s world, and curriculum is presented through active, hands-on learning experiences.

The preschool meets for nine months (September through May) and we offer a variety of schedules which can be selected. A child can be enrolled in two, three, four, or five half-days each week, depending upon his/her age. Preschoolers who are preparing to enter kindergarten may also enroll in special Extended Day programs throughout the month


 

Fees

Enrollment fee – $75 (additional children from the same family – $65)

3-day: $175/mo
4-day: $190/mo
5-day: $200/mo

5-day: $350*/mo (all day, lunch provided)

Extended Day $45*

*includes hot lunch

 

Extended Day classes for Pre-Ks (available Wednesday and Thursday pm) will be an additional fee of $45/month (includes hot lunch).


There is also a $30 field trip fee for all students to be paid at the beginning of the school year.


Fees are subject to change at the beginning of each school year according to the Preschool Governing Board.

 



Enrollment Paperwork

CUMPS is a non-profit organization funded by tuition charges. An enrollment reservation for preschool is complete when the following are received and accepted.

  • Enrollment Fee (non-refundable)
  • Emergency Medical Release
  • Health Assessment
  • Health History
  • Tuition Contract
  • IEP (if your child has one)


All forms are available here, or through the CUMPS office. The preschool accepts enrollment through January 31 for the current school year. Preschool Roundup for the following year is publicized in early March.
