Countryside is blessed with an abundance of musical talent and worship opportunities. For specific information about our worship services, please click here. Please note that child care is available upon request for all groups during rehearsals and other gatherings, to allow as many people as possible to participate.
Sanctuary Choir: Bill Anderson, director. Countryside’s Sanctuary Choir is open to all adults and youth interested in sharing their love of music through singing. The choir sings weekly September through June. Rehearsals on Thursdays at 7:00 in the Chapel will resume in August.
Soul-Full Singers: Jamie Meyer, director. A small dedicated vocal group, Soul-Full focuses primarily on singing sacred vocal jazz, gospel, and contemporary music within the worship services. This group participates in worship services at Countryside throughout the year, and often presents in other settings for special events. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 5:30 in the music room.
Women’s Ensemble: Jamie Meyer, director. The Women’s Ensemble participates in church services monthly, as well as community outreach opportunities. The first 30 minutes of each practice is used to rehearse music, while the second half hour is spent studying scripture that enhances our understanding of the month’s anthem. Our rehearsals are on Thursdays at 6:00 in the Chapel.
Celebration Ringers: Jamie Meyer, director. Open to everyone, the Celebration Ringers play during worship services regularly throughout the year. Currently on summer break, rehearsals will resume on Wednesdays at 6:00 in the music room in the fall.
Wesley Ringers: Jane Anderson, director. Wesley Ringers is made up of our more experienced adult handbell ringers. They participate regularly both on Sunday morning and in many special worship services. They are taking time off for the summer, but rehearsals will be on Thursdays at 6:00 in the music room in the fall.
Laudate Ringers: Jane Anderson, director. Laudate Ringers is Countryside’s most advanced bell choir, and is comprised of young adults who desire to share their love of God and music through ringing. They ring regularly throughout the year in the worship services and are frequently asked to perform in conjunction with community groups and other venues. Laudate maintains an ongoing list of upcoming performances through their Facebook page. Rehearsals are on on Sundays, 6-7pm, in the music room.
Celebration Worship Team: Jamie Meyer, director. Responsible for leading the music for the Celebration Service at 9:45am on Sunday, this team of musicians sings and plays contemporary music from the 90’s to the present. Membership is open to those who love to praise God and are committed to being a part of the group. Rehearsals are Tuesdays 6:45 to 7:30 pm.
Countryside Orchestra: Jamie Meyer, director. Instrumentalists of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join the Countryside Orchestra. Leading worship at the 8:30am service on the fourth Sunday of each month, the orchestra provides many opportunities for musical enrichment and fulfillment. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 4:00 in the Chapel.
Worship and Arts for Kids: W4K is a special night for 1st-6th grade students filled with activities geared especially for them. During the evening we offer opportunities to participate in children’s choir and hand bells for all ages and puppets for 6th graders. They are currently taking a break for the summer, but rehearsals are on Wednesdays in the music room and room 4 from 6:50 to 7:30 will resume in the fall.
Alleluia Ringers: Jane Anderson, director. Countryside’s bell choir for upper elementary children (primary grades 3-6), the Alleluia Ringers is an ensemble for intermediate ringers. Ringing opportunities during Sunday worship services are scheduled throughout the year. Practices are during Worship and Arts for Kids.
Alleluia Singers: Jamie Meyer, director. Alleluia Singers offers 3rd-6th grade students an age appropriate choral and musical experience. Alleluia Singers sing regularly in worship services, go Christmas caroling in December, are leaders in the spring musical, and participate in a spring choir festival every other year. Practices are during Worship and Arts for Kids.
Joyful Ringers: Jane Anderson, director. Countryside’s bell choir for primary elementary students (grades 1-2), the Joyful Ringers is an ensemble for beginning ringers. Ringing opportunities during Sunday morning worship are scheduled throughout the year. Practices are during Worship and Arts for Kids.
Promise Choir: Jamie Meyer, director. The Promise Choir offers 1st-2nd grade children an age appropriate choral and musical experience. This group learns music reading and listening skills. They sing regularly in worship alone or combined with the Alleluia Singers. They also go Christmas Caroling in December and participate in a spring musical. Practices are during Worship and Arts for Kids.
Countryside Ringers: Jane Anderson, director. Countryside Ringers is our group of Jr. and Sr. High youth who enjoy the experience of ringing in a handbell ensemble. They participate in worship regularly throughout the year and bring an exciting and beautiful element to the worship services. Currently on summer break, rehearsals on Sundays at 4:45 in the music room will resume in the fall.
Hands in Praise Puppet Ministry: Bill Anderson, director. The award-winning Hands in Praise puppet ministry is open to youth in grades 7-12. They use puppets and music to share God’s word in a new and meaningful way in church events. They also participate in a puppet festival each spring. An introductory group for 6th graders is also offered on Wednesday evenings in conjunction with Wednesdays for Kids. They are now on a summer break, but rehearsals on Sundays at 8:15 am on the Celebration Center stage will resume in September.
