giving at countryside

It is God's intention that we grow, live generously, and take bigger steps in our faith as we become more aware of how richly we are blessed.

Stewardship is not our way of raising a budget. It is God's way of raising disciples. Discover the joy of growing in your relationship with God as you consider how you can take the next step and live generously.

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."

 -Galatians 5:22-23

Annual generosity Commitment

Our annual generosity campaign plays a crucial role in supporting the mission God has entrusted to us. Through your faithful giving, we are able to sustain a wide variety of ministries for every age group, extend care to those in need, support missions locally and globally, and share the love of Christ within our community and beyond. As you reflect on how God has blessed your life, consider how you might be a blessing to others. Your generosity not only demonstrates your faith but also serves as a powerful witness to God’s love at work in the world.

Your giving at work

Locally

Countryside believes in creating opportunities to serve and bless our local Topeka community. When you give monetary gifts, we are able to support our local schools through our School Ministry team, BackSnacks in cooperation with Harvesters, and more. Countryside also supports local help agencies like Doorstep, Let's Help, Topeka Rescue Mission, and others.

We support these local ministries, as well as other initiatives that we spend your generous donations on.

Why Give?

As people of God we give because God has given so much to us. God doesn't need our money, but what it represents: our purposes, passions, and priorities.

We give to make a Christian impact locally in Topeka, across the country, as well as globally through mission efforts.

We give to increase disciples of Jesus Christ through our generosity so that others may know God's love and blessings!

Globally

When Jesus commissioned his disciples before His ascension, He said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

At Countryside, we take this command of making disciples in all nations very seriously, which leads us to giving of your tithe and offerings to work God is doing globally. We have missionaries sent from Countryside as well as Global Partnerships  over the world.

WHY GIVE?

It's a spiritual issue

Stewardship is directly linked to discipleship. How we use our resources is a spiritual issue- not just a financial one. The quality of that decision is determined by the spiritual condition of your heart.

Jesus talked about it

Jesus spoke openly about the issue of money and possessions. Approximately two-thirds of the parables and about one of every ten verses in the Gospel accounts address this very issue. As followers of Jesus, we should not be reluctant to talk about giving as an outward expression of our commitment to Christ.

It's not about the budget

The temptation in stewardship campaigns is to approach the financial needs of the church from a fundraising perspective to fund a budget. Our stewardship perspective places more emphasis on the spiritual nature of the effort. God does not need our money; rather, we need to give it as an act of thanksgiving and trust.

It's about trust

As we grow in grace, we learn to depend less on ourselves and more on God to relinquish attitudes and habits that impede our relationship with God.
