Sunday Morning Opportunities

9:30 Elementary or Preschool Small Groups

WHAT DO YOU DO? Every small group has a leader and assistant. Small Group leaders and assistants receive a weekly email that contains links to the upcoming month's lessons. All supplies are pulled and snacks are prepared in advance for you. Leaders help guide the lesson while assistants are there to be extra hands and help the kids along. At the end of small group time, the leader and assistant work together to clean up the space and put everything away before leaving. Training is provided!

WHEN DOES IT MEET? 9:10-10:45/10:50

HOW OFTEN DO YOU SERVE? You can choose. We recommend serving at least twice a month as it allows more consistency, but we know this is not possible for everyone and will work with schedules to come up with a plan that works for our children's ministry. It is also possible to serve every week for a month, then be off for a month or two.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OR TRAINING? General training will be provided on Sunday, August 11 at 9:30 or 11:00. Additional training opportunities are by video or appointment with Becky. We would like every volunteer to complete Safe Gatherings training. This is done online at your leisure and we can assist with covering the fee for the background check

11:00 Children's Chapel

WHAT DO YOU DO? Children's chapel has a leader and assistant. Leaders and assistants receive a weekly email containing links to the upcoming month's lessons. At the end of class, the leader and assistant work together to clean up the space and put everything away before leaving. Training is provided!

WHEN DOES IT MEET? Leaders should plan on Sundays, 10:45-12:15. Part of that time is spent in worship (11:00-11:15ish)

Bitty Bells

WHAT DO YOU DO?

Bitty Bell Coordinator: You would work with the people running rehearsals and church staff (Becky Ericson and Jamie Meyer) to coordinate all of the rehearsal & ringing in worship dates, then help with communications to parents. You would not need to be at rehearsals- this can all be done on your own time outside of the church.

Rehearsal Leader: Volunteer to "direct" at least one or two sessions. One session typically involves 3 rehearsals (10:30-10:45 on Sundays) plus one final rehearsal followed by playing in worship (typically 10:30-11:15, but we could try ringing during 9:30 worship if desired). You would be the one turning the cards for the kids to play and keeping track of who is playing which color.

Rehearsal Assistant: Volunteer to assist with at least one or two sessions. Help the kids through the rehearsals. (Pass out bells, stand with them while they ring, direct their attention back to the cards, etc.)

WHEN DOES IT MEET? 10:30-10:45 on Sundays. Often times the leader sets up BEFORE Sunday Small Groups begin.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU SERVE? The coordinator serves for the full school year. Leaders and Assistants can choose to help with one session each semester or help all year. We plan to offer the following sessions (exact dates to be set by the leaders): Fall, Christmas, Winter, and Spring.

Check-in Area Greeters

WHAT DO YOU DO? Greeters stand near the Countryside Kids check-in area, welcoming kids and families. If new families visit, greeters help them check in for the first time and help them find their rooms. This is a great opportunity for kids to serve alongside their parents!

WHEN DOES IT MEET?  9:15-9:35 on Sundays

HOW OFTEN DO YOU SERVE? Once a month (more if interested)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OR TRAINING? General training will be provided once we have at least 3 interested families.

Wednesday Nights

Wednesdays for Kids Bible Story/Main Room Assistant

WHAT DO YOU DO? WHEN DOES IT MEET?  Bible Story Assistants help from 5:45-7:45. Assistants work with the leader to help carry out opening and closing activities, and sit with the kids during Bible story time.

Wednesdays for Kids meets September - April, with a brief winter break for most of December and 2 weeks in January. We do not meet around Holidays (Thanksgiving, Ash Wednesday, Spring Break, Holy Week).
